從奇摩新聞看到一則美國的生命鬥士戴安妮在鐵肺（iron lung）裡躺了58年，她雖然小兒麻痺卻修讀大學課程，做了一本童書，幫孩童補習功課，甚至去演講，她利用吸管遙控電視選看自己想看的節目，她的爸媽在自家照顧她寧願犧牲玩樂長年陪伴。全文點這邊


一開始我尚未意會黛安妮的生活，我以為她是無法思考的人靠呼吸器生存的人，後來才知道她依靠鐵肺維生，能夠獨立思考，並做她想做的事。未曾聽過鐵肺，原來鐵肺是種冰冷卻救命的金屬艙，可以幫助病人呼吸。
